CHANGES TO LSAT IN 2024!

WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW ABOUT THE NEW LSAT EXAM
WILL THE EXAM BE MORE DIFFICULT?
In true lawyer fashion, all we can say is: "it depends" lol. But before you break out into a sweat, let's clarify one thing right off the bat: the LSAT has always been a beast. It was tough before this change, and it's going to remain tough after. LSAC's research suggests that the score distribution won't drastically change. However, this doesn't mean it won't affect your personal score. If you're a Logic Games whiz but struggle with Logical Reasoning, brace yourself. This change might hit you harder. Conversely, if you're not Logic Games' biggest fan but rock the other sections, rejoice; this change could tip the score in your favor! The playing field isn't level, but at least everyone's facing the same hurdles.
WHAT THIS MEANS FOR EXAMINEES:
If you're already scheduled to take your LSAT before August 2024, you're in the clear. Continue your Logic Games prep as planned; they'll still be tested! Buttttttttt if your test date hovers around the cutoff date in the summer of 2024 [June or August], you're in a pickle. Should you go for the two-LR version or take the test earlier while Logic Games are still around? It depends on your strengths and weaknesses. Take a diagnostic, analyze your PrepTest performance, and decide accordingly. Logic Games gurus might want to act fast, while those struggling with them could buy some extra study time.
THE BRIGHT SIDE:
On the bright side, the Logical Reasoning & Reading Comprehension sections remain unchanged. You can confidently use the same materials and even incorporate LR sections from older tests. We will be keeping you posted on new resources for reviewers reflecting the changes. In the meantime, allocate the time you would've spent on Logic Games to hone your Logical Reasoning skills!
